Montreux is a resort swiss town in the Canton of Vaud, on Lake Geneva, with a

population of over 30,000 people.

Famed in all world for its jazz festival, Montreux, which stretches over 40 km2, merits the due attention for its rich historical heritage and literary interest, too!

Byron, one of the most representative poets of the second english romanticism, took his inspiration from the charming and mysterious castle  of Chillon, from the 12th century.

A true paradise for walkers, Montreux is the very place where one day excursions can be organized from.

It is an ideal place where actually choose among a wide range of initiatives, whether sportive or amusing, or simply enjoy an excursion!
In Gruyères try a fondue meal with fresh strawberries and Gruvères double cream as a dessert.

Thanks to its vicinity to the notorious Lake Geneva and at the foot of the Alps it has a very pleasant and mild climate.
