St. Gallen is an old town situated as the capital of the canton of the same name in North eastern Switzerland.
The Abbey of St. Gallen, a renowned library is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in St. Gallen and also is one of the popular tourist’s attractions.
There are as many as 28 heritage sites worth visiting in St. Gallen. The four religious buildings including Abbey of St. Katharina, Catholic parish Church of St. Maria Neudorf and reformed church of St. Laurenzenkirche are famous because of their historic significance. On the other hand one can get a chance to know the history in different museums including the Historical and Ethnographical museum, art museum, natural history museum, textile museum, Beer bottle museum and Point Jaune museum.
