Mountain Cervino is a mountain that is situated in the Pennine Alps. The mountain lies on the border between Italy and Switzerland. Moreover, this magnificent mountain is one of the highest peaks in the Alps with a height of 4,478 meters. This mountain is also known by the name the “Matterhorn” in English and “Mont Cervin” in French. This mountain consists of crystalline metamorphic rocks like gneiss and schist rocks and rises in a pyramid shape dominating the Zermatt north basin.
