Reviews Galerie La Ligne
Galerie La Ligne
The Swiss cantonal capital Zurich, in the heart of modern Europe, is a good place to spend some days, weeks or months. It’s packed with interest both historical and cultural, and frankly the nightlife can be pretty good too. But if you’re here and looking to exercise some of the higher pleasures then the Galerie La Ligne may be just the thing for you.
Located in the heart of pulsating Züri-West it is a modestly sized art gallery where, “the pictures and sculptures can develop their colours and breath in our high, bright rooms.” Well I can’t say the pieces were quite vibrant enough to actually be breathing but certainly there is an active and intelligent ethos to this place. The concept of the Line is the credo of the gallery. It present snational as well as international artists and their works (pictures / sculptures). In addition to the exhibitions, there are regular presentations of young artists’ work in the studio.
The address is: Heinrichstrasse 237 (im Hof) · 8005 · Zürich. And it can be reached easily by public transport, take the Tram 4/13, or Bus 33/72. For more information see their website: www.galerie-la-ligne.ch, or Tel. 043 205 28 29.
