Strandbad Mythenquai is a beach and holiday complex on the splendid shores of Lake Zurich. The name literally means “The Pearl of the Lake Zurich”, and leaving aside the natural and inevitable irritations of any popular beach front, it is richly deserved. The beautiful 250 meter long stretch of sand gives the bathing experience a Mediterranean feel. The resort is well equipped with all sorts of vital facilities such as 1 -, 3 - and 5-meter diving platforms. For children there is a children's wading pool with water games and beach umbrellas. There are extensive playing fields, sunbathing areas, barbecue spots provided and even table tennis tables. You could easily forget this is a city beach!
Zurich's swimming pools every morning and in all weathers between 9 and 11 o’clock and the bathing season lasts from 14 May to 12 September. To get here head for Mythen-Quai, number 95, and for the sat-nav the postcode is 8001.
