Zurich has a crowded public transportation system although there are a large number of buses, trams, boats, cable cars and trains available till late at night within the city.
The tickets for these various modes of transport are available at ticket offices or vending machines.
Moving around in train is the best way of finding your way about the city. The main train station in Zurich is situated to the north of Bahnhofstrasse and is one of the largest train stations found in Switzerland.
This is the key station that connects people to all the major towns and international trains are also available to Austria, Italy, France and Germany.
