Previously it was difficult for disabled passengers to visit Switzerland owing to its high mountainous Alps, but now the tourist industry in Switzerland has taken special measures to include wheelchair ramps and lifts in trains and stations as well as provide special rest rooms for the disabled to make their stay comfortable.
There are haylofts at farms which can put you up for the night and serve you a farm fresh breakfast in the morning. Besides being exciting it is also very reasonable as compared to the hotels.
Edelweiss is a popular flower found here and there will be many other pretty ones that you will come across while touring the Alps but be aware that these are rare varieties and are protected by the Swiss law so respect nature and do not pick or spoil them.
The marmot is an animal that whistles so do not be startled or mistake it for a human while climbing the Alps. Check the weather forecast before venturing on activities like hiking or skiing in the Alps.
