According to the weather the best periods to go to are between June and September, though spring is nice, too!
Not to be missed is its Museum of Archeology which displays remains dating back to the anatolian period and fast.
Other important sites are: The City Walls, from the Hellenestic period;Kaleici, where can be found many touristic attractions: hotel accomodations, restaurants shopping facilities, with its marina which certainly deserves a visit;Hadrian's Gate, erected in honour of Emperor Hadrian;the Yivli Minaret, symbol of the city.
A must is represented by:
- Yivli Minare and Kulliye, Karaalioglu park
- Konyaalti and Lara coasts, which are a real attraction because of the extraordinary cleanliness of its clear, blue water
- one day excursions to Side, Perge, Manavgat and Alanya
- The breathtaking falls of Kursunlu and Duden
