Sulemaniye Mosque is located in Istanbul, Turkey on the Third Hill. It is the second largest mosque in the city and the best-known sights of Istanbul. It was built on the order of Sultan Suleyman. The construction for this mosque began in 1550 and completed on 1558. This mosque is a blend of Islamic and Byzantine architectural elements. The structure of the mosque is very beautiful with tall, slender minarets with large domed building. It references the Dome of the Rock. Its architecture is designed by the Ottoman architecture. This mosque is preceded by a monumental courtyard on its west side. There are four minarets at the four corner of the mosque. It is beautifully designed and a place to worship.
