Sultan Ahmed Mosque is located in Istanbul and is it is a historic mosque. It is the largest mosque in Turkey. This mosque is also known as Blue Mosque because of the blue miles carved on the interior. This mosque was built in the year 1609. This mosque has o tomb of the founder, madrasah and a hospice. It is a popular tourist attraction. The architecture of this mosque is a combination of Ottoman mosque and Byzantine church. There is a heavy iron chain that hangs in the upper part of the court entrance. It is considered to be one of the master pieces of art.
