The Bosphorus is a 20 mile long narrow passage that joins the Marmara Sea with the Black Sea in Istanbul, separating Asia and Europe. One can opt for a half day cruise which is north towards the Black Sea. The Bosphorus width varies from 1640 feet to 2 miles, with depth of 50 – 120 meters, and 197 feet deep. Traditionally, this passage was called as Bogazici and at present, it is known as the Istanbul Bogazi.
