Besiktas is a municipality in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. It is situated at the European shore of the strait of Bosphorus. It is a popular destination for the tourists visiting the city for the first time because it provides them with an opportunity to get the real Istanbul experience.
The municipality is home to a number of prominent sites such as the famed Dolmabahçe Palace and Bebek, which is one of the richest neighborhoods of the city. Due an influx of fashionable apartments, international brands and boutiques and stylish cafes, the municipality has quickly transformed into one of the trendiest areas of the city.
It also feature a huge number of cafes, fine dining restaurants as well as some popular hotels and resorts.
