Tourist Guide Urgup-Cappadocia
Urgup, in the very heart of Cappadocia, is a very good base where one day outings can be enjoyed from, to explore the whole country.
It is interesting to know that during the time wind and rain have favoured what is at present known as fairy chimneys, whose area is delimited by Nevsehir, Avanos and Urgup, three of the most important centres in the whole region.
The Valley of Devrent, for instance, characterized by an interesting setting, various animals naturally shaped by rocks, may offer an idea of how beautiful the area is!
It is not a dream, it is something anyone can touch and live, don’t miss it!
Sportives will certainly enjoy themselves here: hiking & climbing in the breathtaking scenery of Taurus Mountains, horse riding, swimming, or otherwise sunbathe, go shopping, try raki, or just doing nothing at all in full relax!
It is a town where in a maze of narrow and winding streets and scattered minarets are offered several hotel accomodations with the typical cave rooms or cheeper ones and, same in the area, greater hotels are ready to welcome group parties.
No doubt, Urgup is an extraordinary starting point to explore Cappadocia, being along the time, what it still is and will be: a flourishing and propsperous business centre, famed in all world for its carpets, specialized shops and boutiques, with such an extrordinary panorama!
Local food is a favorite, though international cousine can be enjoyed nearly everywhere, so wide the choice of restaurants and fast foods is!
Climate is moderate in temperature with sunny days, on the whole, and slightly cold nights: better is to wear a cardigan when enjoying an evening out!
Cappadocia is something unique, with its plays of lights and colours, isn’it?
