The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is considered as a symbol of the United Kingdom, while the Housesteads Roman Fort and Lindisfarne Priory are mainstays of English Heritage. Also visit the Hartlepool Maritime Experience (an eighteenth-century seaport) and the Northumberland National Park.
