Cotswolds is a marvellous natural beauty spot. Cleeve Hill is the highest peak in the Cotswolds, which is 1,083 feet high.
This hill range is mainly located in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. However, some part of the hills stretches up to Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.
The town of Cotswold was heavily populated well before the Roman era. Archaeologists have discovered an unnatural pattern of the land.
According to the experts, this land was moulded by the early inhabitants of the town.
The peak attraction in the town is the 70 or more long barrows, which date back to 2500 BC. These barrows served as historical tombs.
Gloucester Cathedral is yet another attraction in the Cotswolds.
Cotswolds also is home to Stonehenge, a place of ancient stone structures. This is a must-visit site. |
