South East England spreads over an area of 19,096 sq km and has a population of around 8 million.
South East England is one of the nine regions of England. Its counties include Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, Surrey and the Isle of Wight. The region forms a large arc around London, stretching from the Isle of Thanet (in East Kent) to New Forest in Hampshire and Milton Keynes in the north.
