Bakewell is a market town, so, most tourists visiting the area opt for shopping. Monday is the traditional market day when buyers can get great deals. A beautiful public park runs along the sides of the River Wye in the town.
This park is a great place to relax, unwind and have a pleasant time. The famous Haddon Hall is in easy reach of the town. It is a country house, built in a typical English style, which lies on the banks of the River Wye.
The hall is now converted into a museum that displays a large number of artefacts belonging to the medieval era. Visitors can see an old style kitchen and a long galley that dates back to the 16th century.
