The Hardwick Old Hall is the remodeled family house of Bess of Hardwick, who was one of the richest and most remarkable women of Elizabethan times in England. Though the hall is roofless, the visitors can still ascend the 4 floors and view the decorative plasterwork and the kitchen along with service rooms. There are also exhibitions which foretell the adventure of Bess in architecture.
