It is one of largest and best collections of stained glass windows. The tourist attractions in the surroundings include Papplewick's ancient church, the village's conservation area, boasting 18th century cottages, and Papplewick Hall. The facinating Papplewick Pumping Station, the UK's finest Victorian water works, lies 2 km to the east of the village. The most interesting cities in the surroundings are Kimberley, Arnold, Ravenshead and Eastwood. The Hucknall Airport is the nearest airport to Hucknall city.
