The Cathedral of St. Mary also known as The Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln, was built from 1185-1311 in the Gothic architectural design. The church had 3 towers and 3 spires and was the tallest building in the world till its central spire collapsed in 1549. The stone carving of the mischievous imp called the Lincoln imp lies in the Angel Choir.
