Palace Theatre

This place was opened as a cinema house in the year 1910, which got later renovated for live theatre performances. A large number of events are conducted, since its revamping in the 1990s. This theatre hosts the tours of musical as well as drama shows. It also stages various other local events, including dance shows, and a popular place for the musical shows of the West End.

Mansfield Museum

This museum is an innovation of the prosperous natural historian and collector William Edward Baily. He offered his collections and the building where the museum was first housed. Later new collections, donated by the other local collectors were included, due to which they need to shift to the present building. The museum has been expanding since the day it has been set up, in the mid sixties another gallery was included, the year of 1989, another gem was added to the museum which is named Arcade, this made the museum popular all over the country.

Sherwood Forest Country Park & Visitor Centre

This is a must visit place, it is the home of the popular fugitive and the renowned Robin hood, and also an earlier Royal hunting Forest. There is a major Oak tree which just can’t be missed, and the wonderful woodland trails. The visitors centre has exhibitions throughout the year, there are shops to pick up souvenirs, and a Restaurant to fill your stomach Forest table Restaurant. There are events organized all year round, which keeps the place lively.
