Chelmsford Cathedral
Chelmsford Cathedral is a medieval church. In 1914, the Diocese of Chelmsford was made and this church became a cathedral. In 1983, this structure was reordered and a combination of the old with the new was made. In 1994 and 1996, new organs were installed. The unity of its perpendicular architecture is worth mention. There is a remarkable painting by Mark Cazalev called as “The Tree of Life.” “Christ in Glory – Christmas Rex” is a sculpture created by Peter Eugene Ball.
Chelmsford Museum
At the Chelmsford Museum, exhibits describing social and local history from prehistory till date can be observed. There are also items that are related to Essex Regiment History. Objects pertaining to natural history and events, coins as well as fine and decorative arts of glass, costume and ceramics are on display.
Moulsham Mill
The Moulsham Mill has a history of not changing its site for more than 1000 years and is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. In the interior of the mill, one can view several small business and individual crafts. There is also a tea and coffee shop.
