Having built in 1130s, this Manor can be referred to as one amongst the most ancient and continuously inhabited homes in Britain. An interesting part is that most of this original house still remains intact; that too, in spite of several changes over 900 years. The hall upstairs echoes around 9 centuries of ‘family conversations’. At the time of World War II, it was used by none other than Lucy Boston for giving recitals pertaining to gramophone recordings two times a week; that too, to Royal Air Force.
