The Cromwell Museum, as the name suggests, has been built in memory of Oliver Cromwell; who had been born at Huntingdon (1599) and went on to become Lord Protector in the year 1653. This museum neither celebrates nor denigrates his achievements. It interprets the importance of ‘God’s Englishman’. Cromwell had been driven by religious commitment on his part from the year 1630.
