King’s Lynn is a port town that lies on the banks of the Great Ouse River in Norfolk in England.
The word Lynn stands for the word lake and the town was also called Lynn Regis and Bishop’s Lynn in the past.
The town has a population of 34,564 people and an area of around 28.4 km2.
The town has been a major centre of the seafood industry and fishing. Agricultural industry, glass making and small scale engineering and chemical factories also play an important role in the economy of the region.
King Lynn, being to the east of England, experiences a dry, windy and cold climate in the winters and is warm and sunny in the summers.
