Watford is a famous town situated in Hertfordshire County, England, UK. It lies about 19 miles to the northwest of London. Greater London is adjacent to the town on the southern side.
The residents of the town and the nearby areas use a famous phrase, “North of Watford”. This phrase was invented from the name of Northamptonshire village, which was an important point on the old north-south and east-west routes.
The population of the town is 80,000 residents and the area of the town is around 55.5 km2.
The climate is temperate throughout the year. However, the region is located on the eastern side of England. Therefore, the colder air streams flow from the continent towards this area. This area lies in the rain shadow, hence precipitation is irregular.
