Epping, well known as a market town, it was a small community, with a chapel; the town is surrounded by the Epping Forest. The town is sited on the northeastern side of the central London; it is at a distance of 17 miles.
Since, 1981, it has been associated to the Eppingen town in Germany, there is a strong linkage, of their cultures and business linkages, as well as educational programs are organized.
It is famous for its Monday markets, and is flocked by individuals from the surrounding villages. It also has a farmers market on the First Friday of every month which opens in the morning and continues till 13:00 / past noon Epping Forest surrounds the town from almost all sides, which has given the town a rural look.
The farm lands and the old buildings, take the visitors in the 18 and the 19th century.
The town is has become famous as a countryside residence, for most people working in London.
