The Lady Chapel, which was built by King Henry VII, is spectacular because of its fan vaulted ceiling. Other major attractions at the Westminster Abbey are the Coronation Chair, the Poets’ Corner, its organ and bells belonging to the thirteenth century, and the Shrine of Edward the Confessor. The monument’s garden, the College Garden, is 900 years old and is known for its plantations and its cultivation of herbs for medicinal purposes.
