The Covent Garden District is located in Greater London County of London in England.
This place is mainly famous for the Royal Opera House, theatres, several restaurants, bars, street performers and a large number of shops. Out of these, the Royal Opera House is an important venue for performing arts in London.
The huge building of the opera house is sometimes referred to as Convent Garden, derived from the name of its location. The auditorium, foyer and façade date back to 1858.
The theatre is a fine example of excellent architecture. A few more new sections have been built and opened in this opera recently. The Convent Garden area is a piazza structured in an Italian style.
It is packed with enormous number of fashion boutiques, shops and restaurants. Hence, this place is a heaven for the shopping freaks. This place always remains crowded with local people as well as tourists.
The street performers keep on entertaining the visitors with their juggling skills, music and dances. Altogether, this place is packed with a variety of entertainment.
