| Sugar, spices, tobacco and even elephants…
Museum in Docklands, housed in a historic West India Quay warehouse, charts the history of London as a port from Roman times to the present day. Explore London’s connections with the world through exotic objects, tours, film and hands on activities and discover an epic 2000-year story of trade, expansion and immigration. Take a tour through four floors of galleries, once used to store sugar and spices from the West Indies and now home to artefacts from across London’s history. There is also plenty for Under 12s in our Mudlarks gallery, year round workshops and storytelling sessions.
