London Stansted Airport is situated in the Uttlesford district of Essex in the north east of London and is the 3rd largest airport in London and the 3rd busiest airport in UK.
It is owned and operated by BAA which owns and operates 6 other airports in the UK.
The airport handled more than 23 million passengers in 2007.
The airport has one main terminal, a cargo station and a private aircraft terminal.
The facilities at the terminal include several shops, bars, restaurants, internet access, and bureau of exchange, luggage services and more.
There is a railway station just below the terminal building which takes people to various cities like Leicester, Cambridge and Midlands.
There are coach or bus services as well from the terminal building to various cities in the UK.
