The Vicars of Ponteland built this three storey small Pele tower in 1400. The tower was a part of a manorial complex. The tower has signs of many repairs and alterations. It also has a gabled roof on the western site. The tower is a very old building which was used to signal fire to warn about the coming danger by the use of smoke or fire in old days.
