Wallsend can be referred to as one of the towns located in ‘North Tyneside, Tyne and Wear, England’. Its name has been derived from a location towards the last part of Hadrian’s Wall.
As far as housing is concerned, Wallsend has expanded in a tremendous manner since Second World War. The period between 1960s and 1970s has witnessed exceptional progress in terms of settlements.
‘Wallsend Town Center’ which includes ‘Wallsend Forum’, the basic shopping region, is, in reality, located on the western side of land which falls within the limits of the town.
This region’s northern region comprises of High Farm’s older estate, along with Hadrian Lodge’s new estate. Wallsend’s town center has been separated from eastern regions of town by a stream called ‘Wallsend Burn’.
This stream cuts a petite valley which runs between north-west and south-east till it goes on to flow in to River Tyne.
