The Blackpool Grand Theatre, built in 1894, is the best and the oldest theatre in town designed by the famous architect Frank Matcham. The theatre is now called as the National Theatre of Variety. The theatre has an 1100 seating capacity and is situated at 33 Church Street in Blackpool. The Grand Theatre looks resplendent at night with its post Baroque neoclassical architectural design. The theatre has hosted many musical performances, ballets, operas, dramas, pantomimes, dances and other entertainment programs.
