Grange-over-Sands is a small village town located in Cumbria, England. The town was transformed into a fashionable Victorian Resort with the arrival of the Furness Railways. The town is today a home to rich merchants who own grand houses and is lined with many world-class hotels. The town till 1974 was a part of the County of Lancashire. The area was also called "Lancashire North of the Sands". It is a part of County Palatine of Lancashire even today and comes under the Duchy of Lancaster.
The total population of the town is around is 4000. The seaside town is lined with very beautiful limestone buildings. The small place has many things which it offers its visitors. Ornamental garden, traffic free environ, lush golf courses are some of the activities that can be pursued here.
The climate of the town is very mild and dry as compared to rest of the region which makes it a very attractive place to visit.
