Warrington offers a warm welcome to its visitors. The Town Hall is a major tourist attraction with its huge gates, known as the Golden Gates. The town hall was originally the home of the Philips Family.
This house was built when Warrington served as Lancashire's historic county. Tourists can see the finest example of Palladian style in the hall's architecture. Information about the Scottish regiments is on display in the Scottish Regimental Museum.
This museum exhibits important facts, figures and artefacts related to the regiments. Another similar museum dealing with the South Lancashire Regiment is located at the Peninsula Barracks in Warrington.
This regiment came into existence in 1881. The museum records the history of this regiment. It holds a large number of historical artefacts. Tourists can visit an enormous number of churches in Warrington. This list includes St. Wilfrid Church, St. Oswald's Church and Holy Trinity church.
