The Lowewood Museum is 12 miles away from Birchanger. The impressive collection in this museum is maintained in a listed Georgian building that dates back to the 1750s. Here, there are displays of geology and social history, photographs of town life in the nineteenth century. These enable to discover the fascinating story of the local area. There is also a temporary exhibitions gallery which is a must-see.
