Fraserburgh is a town that is situated in the Aberdeenshire area of Scotland. It is present on the northeast corner of Aberdeenshire, and is 64 km to the north of Aberdeen, a famous city in Scotland, 27 km to the north of Peterhead. It is one of the largest shellfish port in Europe that makes it a very busy commercial harbour. According to the 2001 census the population here was 12,454. The major part of the economy here is heavily dependent on fishing as it provides employment to about 65% of the population in the town which is a very high rate. The presence of many churches in the city indicates that the main religion followed here is Christianity. The town has a promising version of the Doric dialect. A considerable portion of the total area is in water due to which there are many beaches here forming the center of attraction for tourists. Due to its location in the Northern Province the climate over here is often cool with temperatures below 0 degree in winters.
