Basildon Park is situated between Wallingford and Reading. This is a manor house built on acres of parkland between 1776 and 1783. The manor house was renovated by Lord and Lady Iliffe as they furnished the place with beautiful textiles, furniture and pictures in the 1950s. The Sutherland Room has tapestry of ‘Christ in Glory’ and there is a National Trust shop selling gifts as well as a café for snacks and tea.
