St. Michael's Church is the oldest church in Southampton City in England. The church was built in 1070.
After its establishment, the church building underwent lots of modifications and changes. The central tower in the church dates back to the Norman period. The spire served as a navigation aid to the pilots from Germany. The church survived the fatal bombing which occurred in Southampton. As a result, St. Michael's church became one of the few notable buildings in Southampton that survived the bombing.
The ground around the church is the burial place of the sister and parents of Isaac Watt. Visitors can see the Old Tournai Font, Martyrs' Book, Holy Rood reading desk and chained bibles in this church. St. Michael's Church also holds the treasure chest of Philip of Spain.
The spire of the church has 10 bells, which ring melodiously.
