Bath Abbey or the Abbey Church of Saint Peter is a famous Anglican church. This church is located in Somerset County in England.

This eye catching structure was built in the 7th century. After its construction, the abbey underwent lots of modifications and changes over a period. This is an example of the largest gothic perpendicular architecture in the western part of England.

The seating capacity of this abbey is 1200 people. It is regularly visited by worshipers and thousands of tourists every day.

Most of the tourists come here to see the ancient architecture of Bath abbey. The church was built in a Norman style of architecture in its early stages of construction. However, later on, the church was built in the Gothic style.

The abbey possesses fan vaulting, which were designed by William and Robert Vertue. There are 52 carved windows.

Around 56 episodes from the life of Christ are portrayed in the stained glass windows located at east end of the abbey.

The interior of the church is a peak attraction for tourists.
