Bodmin lies in the middle of Cornwall along the boundary of Bodmin Moor.
The town has a population of 12,778. The city has a maritime temperate climate, which brings warm moist air and keeps the temperatures moderate all through the year.
The name of the town is taken from the word Bodminachau, which means the home of monks as it was originally a religious settlement. The city is set amidst two of Cornwall’s most striking historic houses which have wonderful landscaped gardens and several acres of woodland walks.
The Camel trail is a wonderful walking and cycling track which is being developed along with a visit to the vineyard along the trail which includes guided tours of the place.
