In 1897, the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum was constructed as a residence for Sir Merton and Lady Annie Russell-Cotes. When this couple died, it was given as a gift to Bournemouth Borough Council along with its entire collection of sculpture, ceramics, furniture and art collection. At present, there is a Children’s Art Gallery named as Stories, Voices and Journeys. This museum is situated about 1 mile from Bournemouth.
