The Bristol Zoo Gardens is an attraction which lies to the east of the Clifton suspension bridge. These Zoo Gardens are popular for their aquariums and monkey enclosures. There is an open air play area for children as well. Recently a new enclosure has started for Wendy the elephant. There is a restaurant and a gift shop in the premises. The zoo is open all through the year except for Christmas.
