Lyme Regis lies in the Lyme Bay in the west of Dorset in the south west of England.
This coastal town has a population of 4,406 people out of which almost forty five percent are retired.
The town is known for its fossils which were found on the beaches and cliffs which belong to the Jurassic Coast, which is a World Heritage Site.
Lyme Regis has a temperate maritime climate and is popular for its pleasant weather, which is why it is visited by many tourists throughout the year. The weather is perfect to enjoy outdoor activities such as nature trails, sport facilities or just relaxing on the beaches and soaking up the sun.
There are amusement arcades for children where one can come with the family to enjoy computer and other games. In the evenings one can enjoy which have live bands, disco and other musical performances at the various inns and public houses.
