The Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum lies in the Salisbury Cathedral Close opposite the Salisbury Cathedral. The museum is displayed in the King’s House, where King James of England lived from 1610 to 1613. It is a 3 storey building with ornate ceiling and an oak railing staircase. It has one of the best collections of the local archaeology and facts relating to the Stonehenge, a ceramics gallery and a temporary exhibition gallery.
