Larmer Tree Gardens lie in the magnificent landscapes of the Cranborne Chase and are recognized as a Garden of National Importance. These were private gardens built in 1880 by General Pitt Rivers and were opened for the general public to enjoy. There are wonderful ornate buildings, intimate arbors, majestic trees, laurel hedged rides, tranquil woodlands, a display of woodland plantings, Rhododendrons, Camellias, Hydrangea collections and more in its premises.
