The village of Staverton is famous for the medieval Staverton Bridge.
The bridge lies over the river Dart, which dates back to 1413. Despite its age, the bridge is in good condition.
Another old building in this village is the St Paul Church. Experts believe that the church was built in 4th century. However, the church comprises of the 13 century plain watch tower, which is now in ruins.
The church was constructed under the instructions of Bishop Stapleton, when he visited this place in 1314. The rood-screen dating back in 15th century, which was decaying over the time, was completely rebuilt in 1891 by Bligh Bond.
Apart from these historical buildings, there are several interesting parishes like Blackler, Sparkwell and Pridhamsliegh. Kingston House underwent reconstruction in 1744 under John Rowe.
