“King Arthur’s legendary birthplace” is how the village of Tintagel is known as.
The famous village is located on Cornwall County’s Atlantic coast in North Cornwall district.
The word, ‘Tintagel’ is a combination of two Cornish words. ‘Din’ means fort, while ‘tagell’ means constriction. The village is famous for the legendry Tintagel castle. Hence, the place is crowded with tourists in most of the year.
The population of the Tintagel village is 1822 residents, as per the 2001 census.
Since it is located in the South-West region of England, it experiences a maritime temperate climate. With the presence of a coastal line, the village never gets cold in any point of time in the year.
Rather, the weather in Tintagel is warm in summers and mild in winters. The air mass is moist with considerable quantity of water vapour.
Rain is regular in the village. The best time to visit the Tintagel village is in summer as the climate is pleasant.
