Ballast Pound is an old marina next to the local sailing club where frequent yacht races are held during the season. Antony House is more than six hundred years old and was the residence of the Carew family.
This house is surrounded by the Antony Woodland Gardens and includes several walks, an enclosed summer garden, a salt water pond, attractive sculptures, a knot garden, many shrubs, azaleas, rhododendrons, magnolias and more.
Mount Edgcumbe house and gardens was the residence of the Edgcumbe family and is more than five hundred years old. It has a deer park and the gardens are formal divided into individual areas such as the English garden, decorated with classical structures, the French and Italian gardens with their statues, fountains and stairways, the Geyser gardens and others.
